Arkansas quarterback entering the NFL draft shows the lengths prospects go to for an odd but crucial measurement at the combine

Image
Brandon Allen hopes his hands will measure bigger at the NFL combine. The NFL combine has an assortment of odd, sometimes trivial measurements, tests, and questions for prospects. But one measurement can be so crucial that Arkansas quarterback Brandon Allen has been seeing a masseuse in preparation, hoping it helps his status in the draft. As Fox Sports' Bruce Feldman details, the hand measurement for quarterbacks can be crucial at the combine. A large hand doesn't just help with ball security on snaps and with preventing fumbles, according to FeldmanNFL executives think it can be crucial for throwing the ball in inclement weather. At the Senior Bowl in Alabama last month, Allen's hands were measured at 8 1/2 inches from thumb to pinkie, the smallest of any quarterback's at the game. Feldman says anything over 9 1/2 inches is considered large. Allen has since been seeing a masseuse to get hand massages twice a week in hopes that the muscles will loosen u...

Steve Austin Reveals Advice He Gave to Roman Reigns How Much He Knows About His WrestleMania 32 RoleDaniel Bryan and More

Image
WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin recently appeared on Ring Rust Radio and below are some interview highlights: Ring Rust Radio: We are in the midst of the third season of the Broken Skull Challenge on CMT, which airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET. What has made this season so successful and why do you think so many people have fallen in love with the show?  Steve Austin: I think why this season is so successful is the athletes have really taken it to the next level. I host it, we create these bad ass challenges, and we always keep the audience guessing as well as the athletes. So they really never know what they’re getting themselves into. One of the biggest drawing aspects to the show is the fact that it is so raw and brutal. I always like to tell the story of when Rocky fought Drago. Drago had all the scientific training equipment and Rocky was using boulders and logs. That’s what we do out there on the Broken Skull Challenge. It’s very simple. It’s brutal. If you la...

Wizardry from the Splash Brothers in Warriors' win over Heat

Image
MIAMI  The Splash Brothers dynamic no longer defines the Golden State Warriors, but every now and then, it revisits to save the Warriors. That was more or less what happened in a fairly artless 118-112 Golden State victory over a Miami Heat team that outplayed its visitor for much of the game. As Warriors coach Steve Kerr said afterward: "That's Steph and Klay. That's what they do. When they both do it on the same night, that's when we're really tough to beat. And it shows you how good Miami was that we needed every point to win the game. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson combined for 75 points on a night where other parts of the operation were off kilter. The Warriors tried to incorporate newcomer Anderson Varejao, with little to no early success. Draymond Green's hyped, Twitter-stoked standoff with Hassan Whiteside didn't exactly happen. Golden State decided against playing Green at center during Whiteside's minutes, and Whiteside went for 21 ...
