Coleen and Wayne Rooney go for the effortless look as they celebrate a relative's birthday in Manchester
She has her own capsule collection with Littlewoods and he has enough money to buy the best clothes in the world, but Wayne and Coleen Rooney seemed to forget this when they dined out in Manchester, this weekend.
The pair were seen dining in trendy restaurant Australasia wearing less-than-flattering clothing for a night away from their two sons.
Together, they joined Coleen's brother and his girlfriend for a family meal.
The new restaurant serves modern Australian cuisine underpinned by European cooking techniques. The result is a blend of Indonesian, Southeast Asian influences and Australia's strong ties with Japan.
It has become the latest hot-spot for footballers and their other halves.
Sadly, despite the plush new venue, the pair weren't in sync on the fashion front. While Coleen opted for a smart/casual effort - which included a snakeskin-effect dress, a leather jacket and black ankle boots - Wayne seemed to make no effort whatsoever.
The multi-million pound footballer - who plays for both Manchester united and the England national team - wore middle-aged jeans with a T-shirt, body warmer and trainers.
Ironically, i comes shortly after Christian Ronaldo praised Rooney for his improved looks following his hair transplant.
Speaking to men's magazine Shortlist, he said: 'He has his own style. But with hair he looks much better. He looks very good now. Before, he was a little bit ugly, but now, with hair, he’s beautiful.'
Coleen has been working hard to shed her post-pregnancy pounds over recent months and has utilised some outlandish methods in a bid to develop a slimmer figure with the help of personal trainer Elise Lindsay.
One of those methods is the Technoshape – a fat-blitzing belt that can be worn while working out on treadmills or bikes.
The belt – dubbed the ‘non-surgical tummy-tuck’ – costs £37 per session and the mother of two reportedly signed up for a course earlier this year.
Good times: The couple seem to laugh and joke as they left the party - in clashing levels of smartness.By Nevel
