Unbeaten centuries from Ian Bell and Jonathan Trott were causes for optimism on a flat track in Perth, but England's toiling attack - which conceded 451-5 in the first innings - and a woeful middle order performance - which contributed to the tourists' collapse from 330-2 to 391 all out - demonstrated the considerable room for improvement.

With form needed to be found and places up for grabs, the four-day tour match in Tasmania offers a crucial opportunity for the traveling party - and Sky Sports viewers will be able to see every ball live.
