The Undercard

The Uso's defeated The Shield. Ambrose and Rollins teamed up for this match against Jimmy and Jey. A solid match that features quick pin falls and fast paced action was perfect to kick off the night. Jimmy picked up the speed with a thrust kick and a Samoan Drop onto Ambrose. Ambrose would kick out only to get hit a s spinning heel kick. Rollins comes in to break the count and ends up being taken to the outside. Jimmy picks up the win with a roll-up onto the US Champion. After the match, Big E Langston comes down and helps out The Uso's from being attacked. Good storytelling in the match and the finish made the faces look strong. The Shield continues to be losing and the early signs of a split are in sight.

The Wyatt Family defeated Prime Time Players. Harper and Rowan picked up the victory after about 5 minutes of ring work. Titus was distracted from the outside and ended up getting hit with a huge clothesline from Harper. The facial expressions and the mannerisms from Harper are so damn good right now. He is tapping into his character at every moment. I feel like they need another finisher, something more impactful. I have never been a fan of a clothesline finisher. It is too generic and too overplayed.

Grade: C

Natalya and The Bellas defeated AJ Lee, Tamina, and Alicia Fox . It looks like Smackdown will not a singles match tonight. Tamina was knocked off the apron before Natalya wrapped Lee into the Sharpshooter. Why is the champion losing clean to someone she has already beaten time and time again? AJ Lee desperately needs a few feud before her character begins to suffer.

MizTV was supposed to feature an interview with Shawn Michaels. Instead, WWE Champion Randy Orton comes out to talk to The Miz. Orton brings up their history and talks about beating him down in front of his parents. He then asks what The Miz thinks of Big Show interrupting his championship celebration on Raw. Before Miz answers, he is struck down with an RKO. This is the best they can do with Orton right now? I really did not like this because it did nothing for either guy. If they wanted Miz to look strong, why would he continue to get beaten down? He is just not important in a bigger picture anymore. Orton desperately needs to focus his attention on who he will face at Survivor Series. Oh, wait… that guy is "banned for life." Stupid decision. Bring Vince and Show back on Monday. The story will pick up drastically soon after.

Grade: C

John Cena, Goldust and Cody Rhodes defeated The Real Americans and Damien Sandow.

A great match that told multiple stories ended Smackdown this week. Cena and Sandow seem to be the direction that WWE is going to take. I hope they keep this path because Sandow deserves a shot and Cena has nothing else to do than help younger guys get over in a feud. I think Del Rio comes back and inserts himself because of his rematch clause. Look for the development of Sandow to happen right in front of your eyes thanks to a rub from Cena. The Real Americans are a really good tag team to work with Cody and Goldust right now. They have the in ring skill and the mouthpiece to really have an opportunity to make some noise in the tag division. Uso's are faces and can't square off against the champions, while The Shield has other things going on. WWE certainly hit the reset button on newer and fresher feuds at the right time heading into the winter months. The finish of this highly contested bout saw Cena rise above and hit an AA on Swagger. Great call. You can't have Sandow get pinned twice to Cena in the same week. The tag champions already lost once to Swagger and Cesaro. This was the right and logical way to end the night.
