Sean Avery has scored big! The former Rangers hockey player is engaged to model Hilary Rhoda, sources confirm to Us Weekly. The 33-year-old popped the question last Friday.
"It was just really romantic and sweet," the bride-to-be tells Us exclusively of the engagement. "I was surprised."

And though it's all "very exciting," at the moment, Rhoda admits that she hasn't even started to think about how she would do her hair or makeup for the big wedding day. "Right now we're just enjoying this part," she gushed.

The Canadian athlete and the model, 26, (who will be walking the Victoria's Secret fashion show Wednesday night) have been dating on and off for three years. The couple recently rekindled their romance in May after a few months apart.
"Everyone is very happy for them," a source tells Us. "He's had enough with bachelor life and [is] ready to commit."

Avery retired from the NHL in 2012, and recently parted ways working in advertising with the creative agency Lipman in New York City. He previously interned for Vogue magazine in 2008. Rhoda is currently the face of Estee Lauder.
